My personal and professional mission is to live a life that reflects the love of Jesus Christ, by serving those in need, and encouraging and mentoring individuals and families toward lives of freedom, health, well-being, and love. My hope is gain more holistic understanding of people and cultures and how they interact in society. Through empathizing, listening, and portraying genuine compassion, I hope to build strong relationships with people and gain a greater understanding of myself in order to leave a legacy of positive influence.
about me
I am a graduate of Messiah College, with a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Science and a minor in Youth Ministry. My experience at Messiah has impacted me on a number of levels and has been a place where I have grown intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally. My desire for authentic communities and relationships, family and human service, and cultural diversity has not only grown over the past few years, but has become a part of the legacy I hope to leave for others.
I would describe myself as a gentle spirit who enjoys interacting with people and serving others. I see myself as a very empathetic person, a motivated worker, and a compassionate individual. I enjoy learning and I learn best in a practical, experiential environment. I have a passion for families and human and community services, children and youth, intercultural interaction, and Christian ministry. I also love hearing people's testimonies and life stories because I believe that we can learn a lot from each other and I believe every individual, family, and community contains value and potential.
